CompassLive (“we”, “our”, or “us”) provides a digital compass application for Android devices. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app may access, collect, use, and share when you use CompassLive.

a. Information you provide directly
CompassLive does not require you to create an account, and we do not intentionally collect personal information such as your name, email address, postal address, or payment details through the app itself.

Precise location is used to help the app determine magnetic declination and support compass-related features on your device. We do not use your precise location to build a user profile, and we do not sell your precise location information.
Based on the current app design, precise location used for compass functionality is processed locally on the device. However, third-party advertising services used in the app may process device and network information, including IP address and other identifiers, for advertising, fraud prevention, and measurement purposes, subject to their own policies.
2. Permissions We Request
CompassLive may request the following permissions:
Precise Location
Used only if you choose to enable features that rely on location, such as True North and opening map-related functionality.
You can deny this permission and continue using the app’s basic compass functionality, although some features may be limited.
Internet / Network Access
Used to load advertising and support normal app connectivity.
Advertising ID
Used by advertising services, including Google AdMob, to support ad delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and measurement, in accordance with applicable platform rules and Google’s policies.
3. How We Use Information
We use information processed through CompassLive to:
- provide the compass and orientation features of the app
- support optional True North and map-related functionality
- display advertisements
- maintain app security, stability, and performance
- diagnose bugs and improve the app
We do not use the app to intentionally collect sensitive personal information about you beyond what is necessary for the app to function and what may be processed by third-party services integrated into the app.
4. Advertising and Third-Party Services
CompassLive uses Google AdMob to display ads.
Google AdMob and its partners may collect and process certain information, which may include:
- Advertising ID
- IP address
- device information
- app interaction data
- approximate location derived from IP or device signals
- ad performance and diagnostic information

- serving ads
- limiting repeated ads
